General Information about Meetings

 

Monthly Meetings

Times: 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, except the May meeting, which is on the 1st Tuesday of the month. No meetings in July and August.

 

Places and Directions:

Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario: Great Lakes Forestry Centre, 1219 Queen St. East. (Sept, Oct, Nov, May and June)

If you are coming from the U.S., turn right after leaving the bridge plaza onto Huron Street and follow it around the curve to the left, where it turns into Bay Street. Follow Bay to its intersection with Queen Street, where the road curves to the right following a traffic signal. Continue straight ahead on Queen Street to the forestry centre, which is just beyond the intersection with Pine Street. (Look for a large sign on your right.) Park in the lot on your left and walk in the main entrance, where you will be asked by an attendant to sign in. The meetings are usually down the stairs in the room on your right.

 

Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan: Central United Methodist Church, on the corner of Spruce and Court Streets. 

(Dec, Jan, March and April)

If you are coming from Canada, turn right onto Portage Street after leaving the bridge plaza. After you cross a bridge over the power canal, take the first right onto Spruce Street and follow it downtown to the Ashmun Street stoplight. After you cross Ashmun, the church will be at the end of the block on your left. There are parking places and a parking lot around the corner on Court Street.  Enter the main door that faces Spruce Street and go downstairs.

 

Annual Dinner Meeting

Time: Usually starts at 6-6:30 on the 2nd Tuesday of February. Time and place are announced under Meetings and in the Newsletter.

Places: In odd years beginning with 2009, meetings will be held at the Sault College Cafeteria or another site to be announced in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. In even years, meetings are usually held in the West Ballroom of the Walker Cisler Center on the campus of the Lake Superior State University, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
